Yonex Astrox 100 ZZ VA Racket - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Question 1

What makes the Yonex Astrox 100 ZZ VA different from the standard Astrox 100 ZZ?

Accepted Answer

The Astrox 100 ZZ VA is the official Viktor Axelsen Signature Edition, featuring an exclusive Grayish Beige colorway with custom VA branding. It retains the proven high-modulus graphite construction, Hyper Slim solid-core shaft, and Rotational Generator counterbalance system that power world champions on the international circuit. Players across India receive guaranteed quality and trusted performance with this collector-grade tournament frame.

Question 2

Is this racket supplied pre-strung or unstrung?

Accepted Answer

In accordance with international tournament standards, the Astrox 100 ZZ VA is supplied unstrung from the manufacturer. This allows competitive players to customize their exact string type and stringing tension according to their personal playing style. We recommend pairing it with high-performance strings like Yonex BG80 or BG66 Ultimax for best value for money and explosive court feedback.

Question 3

What is the maximum string tension recommended for this racket?

Accepted Answer

The recommended tension range is 20 to 28 lbs for the 4U specification and 21 to 29 lbs for the 3U specification. The reinforced frame structure and single-pass grommet system easily support professional electronic 4-knot stringing within these manufacturer thresholds, ensuring long-term frame durability and complete satisfaction during intense match play across India.

Question 4

How does the extra stiff shaft feel during defensive shots and fast drives?

Accepted Answer

While the shaft is rated extra stiff for maximum smash precision, the integration of Namd graphite enables rapid energy storage and immediate snapback. This prevents the frame from feeling sluggish, allowing shuttlers with quick forearm snap to execute crisp defensive lifts, flat drives, and sharp counter-punch blocks with complete confidence and guaranteed control.

Question 5

Who should choose the 4UG5 specification over the 3UG5?

Accepted Answer

The 4UG5 specification averages approximately 83 grams, making it the ideal all-around choice for players seeking lightning racket head speed, fast doubles defense, and rapid recovery between aggressive strokes. The slightly heavier 3UG5 model offers added inertial mass for singles attackers who want the absolute maximum downward smash momentum. Both options deliver elite satisfaction for competitive shuttlers across India.

Question 6

Is the Yonex Astrox 100 ZZ VA legal for official BWF tournament play?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the racket strictly complies with all Badminton World Federation tournament equipment specifications and dimension rules. It is fully approved for state, national, and international badminton championships across India, giving athletes trusted reliability and championship-ready performance on court.
