Question 1

What is the primary difference between the Ryuga Metallic and standard Thruster Ryuga?

Accepted Answer

The Ryuga Metallic integrates innovative Metallic Carbon Fiber directly into the frame head. This creates significantly higher torsional rigidity, sharper shuttle repulsion, and a more solid, explosive impact feel on full-power jump smashes compared to standard graphite builds.

Question 2

Which weight variant should I choose between 4U and 3U?

Accepted Answer

The 4U (approx. 83g) variant offers blistering swing speed, easier maneuverability in rapid mid-court drive exchanges, and tremendous smash steepness. The 3U (approx. 88g) provides maximum head momentum and heavy baseline punching power, best suited for advanced singles players with strong forearm conditioning.

Question 3

What string tension is recommended for the Victor Thruster Ryuga Metallic?

Accepted Answer

The 4U version safely supports string tensions up to 31 lbs (14 kg), while the 3U version is rated up to 32 lbs (14.5 kg). For tournament players seeking optimal elasticity and repulsion, stringing with Victor VBS-66 Nano or Yonex BG80 at 26–28 lbs is highly recommended.

Question 4

Does this racket feature Victor's synthetic Free Core handle?

Accepted Answer

No. The Thruster Ryuga Metallic intentionally returns to a traditional solid wooden handle design at the preference of elite touring professionals, delivering direct, unfiltered vibrational feedback and solid court control on every shot.

Question 5

Is this racket fully certified for official tournament play?

Accepted Answer
